The Ankyrox is an Ankylosaurus-Type Zoid, one of over 200 species of biomechanical lifeforms depicted by TOMY's Zoids model, toy, and media franchise.

Overview

The Ankyrox is a small Zoid with an open-air cockpit. Compared to other Zoids in the Zoids: Wild series, it is an M-sized Zoid.

Anime

The Ankyrox is the Zoid of Avocado.

While the Ankyrox features in episode 1, it doesn't have a prominent role in the series until episode 31, where Avocado and Garlic meet up with some members of Team Freedom while treasure hunting. This episode features the first use of the Ankyrox's Wild Blast.

The most significant involvement with the story beings in episode 37. Team Supreme arrive to assist Freedom in fighting the Four Heavenly Kings. Avocado, Garlic and Kuroame fend off the Death Metal forces, and as such force Truffle to use his trump card. He fights using the Dimepulsar infused with Death Rex DNA and amplified by Dilofos.

The blast causes all three of Supreme's Zoids to go rogue and join Death Metal.

In episode 44 Caviar appears before Arashi and the three members of Supreme. It proves impossible to save the Ankyrox from Death Metal's influence. At the request of Avocado, Arashi dispatches the Ankyrox, slicing it in two using his King of Claw Spiral attack.

A flower is planted near a Zoid Grave for the Ankyrox.
