Overview
The Dark Metal Empire (Death Metal Empire in Japanese) is the main antagonist of the Zoids: Wild anime series.

The empire is lead by Gallagher. They seek to revive Zoids and use them as weapons for world conquest. Gallagher's right-hand man is Rakkyo, and below that there are the Four Dark Warriors: Drake, Truffle, Caviar, Foiegras. The majority of their forces are comprised of Raptors who are piloted by the Z Boys.
The role of each member of the Dark Metal Empire is usually setting up, or supplying, the vast armies of the Dark Metal Empire. For example Caviar is responsible for prison-like facilities involved in research into Dark Blasts. While Truffle seems to be involved in finances, Foiegras ammunition. While places involved with Dark Metal are generally oppressed, people can still lead lives there, and many go willingly as a source of plentiful work.
Opposing the Dark Metal Empire are the Resistance. They control some villages, and can fend off the Z Boys, but are usually powerless against Dark Blasts. Often the villages caught in this conflict are razed to the ground.
