Gyoza is a fictional character from Zoids: Wild. He is the pilot of the Triceradogos.
Overview
Zoids Wild
Gyoza first appears in episode 10.
He shows up early on in the series, and is obsessed with money. It's not until much later that it's revealed why. His sister is sick, and the medicine is controlled monopolistically by Truffle one of Death Metal's Four Heavenly Kings, making it extremely expensive. What he doesn't know, is that Death Metal were also the ones causing the problem. Moving away from the town would have alleviated the need for ongoing medication.
After confronting Death Metal, Gyoza leaves his sister in the care of Sanratan, and joins Team Freedom.
He travels with them until episode 37 where he and the Triceradogos are severely injured. At this point, he leaves with Sanratan to recover.
Personality
Gyoza is initially shown as a stingy man, but is kind at heart.
Ability as a Zoid pilot
Gyoza is a powerful pilot. His Zoid is relatively slow compared to the rest of the cast, but very effective at close range. Before joining team Freedom, Salt fights Gyoza, and Gyoza is initially victorious, despite Salt having a much faster Zoid.
Relationships
Gyoza has his own unique relationships with the following characters:
Arashi: Arashi invites Gyoza to join Team Freedom, but Gyoza initially declines.
Trivia
- Like many characters in Zoids Wild, Gyoza's name is based on food, Gyoza is a Japanese dumpling.
- Gyoza often speaks in rap. His headphones are not connected to anything.
- Because of his frequent rapping, Gyoza is exceptionally good at the "Word Chain" game, where you have to line up words such that the last letter of one word matches the start of another.
