Anime[]

The Hunter Wolf is known as Alpha Shadow. It is piloted by Apex

It is shown in episode 40, that in the past, Apex, as a child, was accidentally abandoned by his father Jasper while escaping from a wild Rapterrix attack. Apex met Alpha Shadow and journeyed with it from a young age.

Apex considers Alpha Shadow to be one of the most powerful Zoids in existence, and judging from his effectiveness in combat, this is largely accurate.

The Alpha Shadow possess great speed and agility, but its most notable feature is the ability to perform two stages of Wild Blast. The initial attack allows the Zoid to move and exceptionally high speeds, while the "Second Gear" fires off projectiles in many directions. Having both high speed, and an area-of-effect attack make the Zoid extremely potent in combat.

Patlabor[]
