Abuse filters

I thought I'd move the convo here out of consideration for Manuel. I want to block page blanking, profanity, page spam, and generally head off potential vandalism at the pass. They were all copied from another wiki where I'm an Admin and Bureaucrat, but were set-up there by a fellow admin. This is a preventive measure because the vandal that was harassing our wiki is currently inactive or has grown up.

Please don't hesitate to modify any filters to peak performance or even just make small adjustments. I can't even be called competent in dealing with them; I'm literally emulating what I know to work. Zane T 69 (talk) 16:37, September 1, 2020 (UTC)

Do you have any idea why the RailWam was giving me a false positive from AVG? I had to temporarily disable it so that I don't have to exit three AVG pop-ups on every page. [is a screenshot of the problem.] I'm not sure if this is a problem I should communicate with you about or with Fandom. Zane T 69 (talk) 14:16, September 16, 2020 (UTC)

Hi! It is a known issue with the script. The author claims it is a false positive and they've taken steps to help reduce the chance of it being flagged by AV software, but they don't know how long it will take for them to be updated.
This is a good time to think about whether or not you want to keep using the RailWAM script though. ~tya @fandom 14:21, September 16, 2020 (UTC)
I removed the script already due to being annoyed by it for an entire day, but we'll probably restore it if/when it is fixed. Thanks for all of your help. Zane T 69 (talk) 14:50, September 16, 2020 (UTC)
I also think we can remove it for the time being. When it‘s fixed we can use it again. Moviejunkie2009 (talk) 14:52, September 16, 2020 (UTC)
Just saw that RailWAM isn‘t going to be ported to the UCP, so apparently we soon have to bid farewell to it. Moviejunkie2009 (talk) 17:22, September 16, 2020 (UTC)
