Travelling Companions
Travelling Companions an episode from the anime series Zoids: Genesis based on TOMY's Zoids model franchise.
Overview
Ruuji and his companions travel in search of the generator mechanic Ferde. They take a mountain passage with no roads, their large-scale Zoids providing enough to cross the range. Although there were open plains below, it would have been too conspicuous for their group to use. Their decision to go over the mountain acted as a precaution against Digald.
It was up in these mountain passes where Ruuji and Seijuurou commence training. Seijuurou initially jumped on Ruuji's Zoid.
As Ruuji and his companions move out, Zairin meets with the Prince of Digald: Jiin. Here Jiin reveals that he and Zairin are actually close friends. Jiin had decided to give Zairin some time off. Zairin was initially displeased at the idea of having time off, since it left the issue of Ra-Kan and the Metal Zi weapons unresolved. During the meet, Georg is assigned to a war in the south, near where Ra-Kan was last sighted. This partially serves to clam Zairin's fears, but he still felt disappointed that he would unable to finish things with Ruuji personally.
Back at the mountain, Ra-Kan assigns two guards. He does this to protect against wild Zoids, rather than against Digald forces. Ruuji is initially paired up with Mii, where he works out that all she can cook is barbecue meats. Next Garaga takes his shift, where he talks about Kotona. He tells Ruuji that her real name is not Kotona, instead that is just a nickname. Only her family know her real name, so to learn her name would require someone to become a member of her family. (i.e. marry her)
The next day, Ruuji shows significant improvement to his previous training. With the added weight of Seijuurou, he was still able to keep pace with the group. That was, until Rainbow Jerk stacked on top of the Soul tiger.
Moving further up the mountain, they find snow had covered the peaks. For Ruuji, this was the first time anyone from his village had seen real snow. But in the snow Mii falls ill. Ruuji gathers a plant to use for medicine, and Mii recovers from her illness.
