Escape an episode from the anime series Zoids: Genesis based on TOMY's Zoids model franchise.
Overview
Forced to work as slave labour, Ruuji sees the remains of resistance Zoids scattered around the town. Various citizens fall to the intense work, yet as they go down, Digald officers beat them and take away any who become unable to work. With the labour force depleted, the rest of the prisoners are forced to work harder to meet the lack of workers. If they did not meet the quota, they would be faced with no food for the entire camp. Despite the obvious hardships, Ruuji encourages the rest of the prisoners to work hard.
Meanwhile, Seijuurou and Kotona continue to be conditioned into become Digald Zoid pilots. It is here Seijuurou shows signs of health problems. Facing harsh punishment, other prisoners collapse in the gruelling exercise.
At night, the mayor find Ruuji trying to exit to the roof. It was here that he figures out Ruuji isn't from Ze Ruft. After hearing Ruuji's story, the mayor explains that 10 years ago, one of their two generators had broken. It was Ferde that had fixed it.
With information from the mayor, Ruuji goes to find Ferde. He goes to the place mentioned, only to find that Ferde had been taken away two days ago by Digald. A person overhears the conversation. Initially he seemed to be an enemy, but he later was revealed to be able to help Ruuji and the others get into Digald headquarters. His name was Aotasu, the head of Ze Ruft's guard forces.
He tells Ruuji of a plan to attack the Digald headquarters. Despite being defeated before, they plan to use old tunnels under the city to approach unnoticed and destroy the Digald commander. He hoped that once loosing the chain of command, they would be able to re-take the city in the ensuing chaos. Despite learning of Ruuji's large-scale Zoids, he does not request aid from them. Instead, he refuses help when Ruuji offers. He advised, Ze Ruft was their city, and they needed to take it back without the help of outsiders.
The next day, Digald forces the prisoners to work even harder. They had witnessed Ruuji's encouragement yesterday, and had increased the workload to suit.
That night, the attack proceeds as scheduled. Molgas break through the underground passages, to approach the headquarters directly. Despite only fighting foot soldiers, the Molgas find themselves unable to defeat Georg as quickly as they had planned. Acting in the midst of the attack Mii, Ra-Kan and Garaga move in with their Zoids.
Ruuji, Kotona, and Seijuurou also take advantage of the situation, capturing a Digald officer. However, he informs they were "too late" to meet with Ferde. It seemed Ferede had resisted Digald, he died some time the night before.
Outside, George captures one of the attacking Molgas, and defeats others with it. By the time Bio Raptors show up, Geoge had already defeated most of the Molga forces. Ruuji comes around in time to see Aotasu fall. Shortly afterwards, Ra-Kan, Mii and Garaga arrive and rescue them, however Ruuji is faced with terrible shock from the experience.
