Reunion
Reunion an episode from the anime series Zoids: Genesis based on TOMY's Zoids model franchise.
Overview
The episode takes a different path to the previous ones. Rather than focusing on Ruuji and his journey, it reveals what Ra-Kan and the others were up while Ruuji and Garaga were with Muteki-Dan.
Ra-Kan, Mii and Seijuurou were found to be recuperating in the small village Pikuru, where Kotona meets up with them. Mii repaired the damage to the Sword Wolf, however Ra-Kan was covered in serious injuries. They were not life-threatening, but they left him unable to move freely for a period of time. Although they had not found Ruuji, Garaga or Ron, it also seemed there was no sign of Digald around either.
It was learned that Ra-Kan had fought against Georg. His Zoid was easily tossed around by the Bio Tricera, but despite the damage, he managed to inflict some critical injuries to the Bio Zoid. With the help of Seijuurou, Ra-Kan felled the Bio Tricera, but not before Ra-Kan and his Sword Wolf had sustained heavy wounds.
The villagers were kind to Ra-Kan and the others, they supplied them with medicinal herbs and even sent a person off to gather proper medicine from another nearby village. Although kind, the offer troubled Ra-Kan. He was concerned that the village would contain Digald forces. Ra-Kan and the others believed that even if Digald was stationed in other cities, they had defeated Georg. With his Zoid totalled, they figured he would have at least sustained injuries worst than Ra-Kan, had he not died. Much to the contrary, Georg was fit and well. He had sustained sever injuries, but Digald's technology was able to cure him in a very short period of time. (it is not learned until much later on where this technology comes from).
When the messenger from Pikuru arrives at the neighbouring village he noticed some burnt buildings. While gathering medicine for Ra-kan, he learned that Digald had come searching for some large-scale Zoids. Terrified, the villager learned they were looking for the Zoids housed in Pikuru. Scared, he realised that Digald could wipe out their town for harbouring the large Zoids.
The villagers meet, initially they want to send away the large scale Zoids. However, the chief advises Digald would find out, and probably punish them for letting Ra-kan escape. With their minds made up, the villagers move to capture Ra-Kan and the others. Although out classed, Seijuurou, Mii and Kotona did not want to hurt the villagers, and they managed to capture Ra-Kan. With that, the rest of them surrendered quietly.
Despite being able to escape from her bonds, Kotona decided not to flee as this would endanger the villagers. In a short period of time, Bio Raptors begin to arrive at the village. Ra-Kan ensures that the chief would return Ruuji's telescope, should he come through here. To which the chief agrees. With conflicting emotion, Mii and Kotona make a bet over their dinner on whether Ruuji would arrive or not.
While securing Ra-Kan's Zoids, the Bio Raptor confirms the Lanstag, Sword Wolf, Soul Tiger, Rainbow Jerk and Murasame Liger. Ruuji quickly dispatched the Bio Zoid, using this as a distraction, Seijuurou (being also able to escape his restraints) quickly freed the others. It was then that the Deadly Kong appeared, defeating the other Bio Raptor.
Kotona thanked Garaga for arriving with impeccable timing, however Garaga explained, they had been there since the morning. Ruuji had decided to wait back and check out the situation, he had also been the one to propose the idea of splitting up and ambushing the Bio Zoids was also Ruuji's idea.
