Road to Recovery an episode from the anime series Zoids: Genesis based on TOMY's Zoids model franchise.

Overview

Ruuji and Garaga begin by searching for survivors of the previous battle, yet their efforts proved fruitless. Meanwhile, Seijuurou's illness takes a turn for the worse.

Nearly half of their forces were lost in the previous battle, leaving a sea of graves outside Zuuri.

Digald forces located the MegaRaptor, but Zairin was not inside. However, Zairin found himself recuperating back in Digu. It turned out that Boraa had rescued Zairin. Jiin showed Zairin the Mega Raptor squad, a group of mass-produced Zoids that were able to be piloted by people other than Zairin.

As a thanks for Zairin's performance, he was offered an even better Zoid. The Bio Volcano.

Back in Zuuri, Ron met secretly with Ra-Kan. Ron warned Ra-Kan that Ruuji should not be allowed to progress to "the next level". As the two conversed, Ra-Kan expressed his initial distrust of Ron.

Ra-Kan called a meeting of the various leaders, and took full responsibility for the loss of life in the previous battle. He also decided to press on, and continue the battle against Digald. Ruuji raised the issue, that their forces were too weakened, and they lacked the resolve to fight again so soon. It was for these reasons, that Ra-Kan announced the temporary disbanding of the Digald Suppression Army.

He gave a fifty-day time frame, in which commanders had the option to think over their actions. If they had the resolve to fight again, then they could meet again at Zuuri in 50 days.

With that resolve, Ra-Kan approached the rest of his comrades (excluding Seijuurou, who was still in hospital) and asked they go gather more allies. There were still groups out there that opposed Digald, either ones that had not replied to their previous messages, or ones they did not know existed.

Initially, Garaga wanted to go with Ruuji, but Ra-Kan reassigned him to go with Ron and Mii. This gave Garaga hope that he would get to go with Kotona, but these hopes fell short as he was paired up with Seijuurou (who was just out of hospital). This left Kotona and Ra-Kan to be the final pairing.

Their preparations were interrupted, as a battle outside took place. It was Ron's merchant friends. With the arrival of Zuuri's forces, and the Murasame Liger they were able to fend off the Bio Zoids.

As the Bio Zoids retreated, Hou's group arrived. It seemed he had survived the previous battle, and was on his way back.

The transporters had been holding onto new weapons for the metal-zi wielding Zoids. Each was upgraded, minus Ruuji's Liger. It was during this that Hou approached Ruuji, wondering who had smashed the dam. He was overly joyful, since that act had saved his life.
