Wild Blast Wildfire! is the second episode of the Zoids: Wild anime series, based on TOMY's Zoids franchise.
Overview[]
This episode picks up where the previous one left off, Arashi fighting on the Liger. But they prove dysfunctional, with the Liger not listening to Arashi. Eventually they get jumped by Dark Metal, and Arashi looks to the ground, before Quade saves them.
They return to the village, where they talk about the bonds between Zoids. They talk about being partners with Zoids, how the Wild Blast works, and Arashi leaves in a fit. He goes to the Liger, only to find it stubbornly refusing him.
As per the last episode we're reminded that the villagers largely don't like Zoids. Arashi's remains convinced by his father's words, remembering he people should look for the ultimate Zoid partner. He also strongly believes his father is still alive.
Drake is briefly seen in silhouette chastising the Dark Metal forces.
Antics ensue as Arashi tries to ride the Liger. Eventually Quade takes him aside and tells Arashi that he wasn't always an expert Zoid Seeker, and talks about when he was younger. He tells Arashi that "Zoids reflect the emotional energy you put out". Arashi says he already knows that, and that's why he thinks his feelings will get through to the Liger. It surprises Quade to her Arashi say this, and it's seen that Quade has actually met Arashi's father in the past, although he doesn't know the relationship between the two.
As Quade is leaving, Arashi asks what his team is after other than the Liger. Quade replies "Ancient Treasure Z". It's a treasure go great, it allows whoever finds it the power to take over the planet.
Arashi's grandfather, Gaffer brings him food. Arashi notices a fire outside the village. Team Supreme go to put out the fire, as Arashi still can't ride the Liger. The others engage Death Metal, but some of them slip past and make it to the Liger. Arashi's grandfather is caught up in the conflict and zapped by Death Metal, who want the Liger. Arashi then figures out why the Liger is being so stubborn.

Quade during his exposition
At the start of the episode, when Arashi was in danger, he momentarily looked to the ground, essentially running away instead of trusting in the Liger. He figures it out and apologies to the Liger, and says despite that, right now his grandfather needs the Liger's help.
The Liger responds and they expunge Dark Metal using the "King Claw" attack.
The episode ends with a quick twist of Bacon challenging Arashi.
