Lonely Boys Get To Earth! is the twenty-eighth episode of Zoids: Wild. It first aired in Japan on January 19, 2019.

Overview

This episode introduces the much-anticipated Hunter Wolf and it's pilot Salt.

The episode begins with the group waiting for Gyoza to return, Arashi becomes too impatient to wait any longer and he heads off after him.

After Arashi leaves, Penne and Onigiri hear a noise and follow in that direction, finding some wild Kuwaga injured in a rockfall. Onigiri tries to help the fallen one while Penne holds off the others. As they work, the Hunter Wolf appears and attacks all the Kuwaga. Penne explains to the pilot, Salt, what they were trying to do. He criticises them as being naive, but he himself didn't finish off the Zoids, and the Kuwaga leave injured.

Salt tells Penne and Onigiri he's bounty hunting the Wild Liger. They let slip that they knew the Wild Liger, and point Salt into a random direction so he wouldn't find Arashi.

Gyoza returns, and shows off an obnoxious alarm clock he got while out. When Penne and Onigiri ask if he saw Arashi, Gyoza nods and tells them the direction Arashi went... it's the same way they had directed the Hunter Wolf to.

Arashi, having arrived at town, leaves the liger outside and goes to get food. The food stalls openly welcome him, offering an all-you-can-eat scam where he would incur huge debt if he fails to eat all the free food provided to him. Salt arrives, and sees Arashi eating. He quickly gets caught up in the eating. Antics ensue, and eventually the duo leave having eaten ridiculous amounts of burgers.

Penne and Gyoza meet the pair outside town (Onigiri's too slow so was left behind). They try and cover up Arashi revealing he's the Liger's pilot. But after their efforts almost work, Arashi loudly calls the Liger. Salt in turn calls the Hunter Wolf. Arashi then takes a nap on the Liger, tired from all his eating.

Penne leads the Liger away, while Gyoza stays to fight the Wolf.

Gyoza quickly tries to run from the Wolf, but it's too fast. However, Gyoza makes up for his lack in speed by using the Tricera's power to his advantage. He actually manages to succeed, and escapes safely from the Wolf. However, his alarm clock from earlier goes off and lets Salt know where he was.

Arashi wakes up, and returns to confront Salt. Arashi uses his Wild Blast, and Salt returns in kind, activating the Hunter Wolf's Wild blast.

The episode ends with a short cut of Drake in one of Death Metal's camps.
