Overview[]
The episode starts with the four death metal heavenly kings talking to each other, lamenting their losses. The Draz is undergoing repairs. While 3 of them were present, Drake was uncontactable.
Arashi and the others are taking a break, when Bastion and Apex become super competitive. Battalia convinces them to challenge one another in a foot race (mostly to get some peace and quiet). They both start running towards a far-off cactus.
As they run, Haxile shows up and ambushes them. Simultaneously, Malware ambushes Arashi, Battalia and Analog.
Malware's Overbyte is upgraded and customised, he latches onto Battalia preventing the other from attacking.
Apex and Bastion fight Haxile, but they each want to be the one to defeat him for personal reasons. This prevents them from working as a team, and they end up quite damaged.
Eventually, Bastion realises that if the two rivals put aside their differences, they can become stronger together. And he works together with Apex to beat Haxile.
Elsewhere, Arashi defeats Overbyte by leveraging the unstable ground.
But that's not the end, a Haxile swaps from his old Zoid, to a new one. The Dimomite. It unleashes it's Dark Blast and in one go seemingly disables all of Team Freedom's Zoids. But the Dimepulsar isn't 100% ready for battle, so Haxile is forced to deactivate and retreat. Due to the damage, Freedom don't chase him.
