Unwavering... Our Bonds is the thirty-fourth episode of Zoids: Wild. It first aired in Japan on March 2, 2019.
Overview
The team arrive in a new village, still looking for the resistance to help with maintenance for their Zoids. However, when they arrive they find the village desolate and in ruins.
A scrap of paper blows towards Arashi, and a lone drunk appears there, confronting the protagonists for the paper back. It's a half of a photo, containing a Kuwaga.
The group talk to the man, who's name is 'Burger', but get no real info. On the verge of giving up, they end up being directed to a yard out the back of a bar, where they can repair their Zoids. After repairing the Liger, Arashi slips and drops the Key bestowed to him by Bacon. The man recognises the name "Bacon".
They do so, but the man tells them: if they keep fighting the way the are, their Zoids will perish.
He takes them to a grave where he reveals his past. He fought as part of the resistance, and piloted the Kuwaga in the photo. He could use the Kuwaga's Wild Blast. But after many battles, the Kuwaga wore down. He went off for repairs, and in his absence, the resistance was attacked and wiped out, leading to the ruins seen at present. The wear and tear was a direct strain from the continued use of his Wild Blast.
This has a profound effect on Arashi, who has a nightmare about fighting the Death Rex. In it, he finds himself unable to trigger the Liger's Wild Blast, and the Liger perishes to the Death Rex.
The next day, the Death Metal Raptor trio appear and attack. Arashi finds himself unable to use the Wild Blast out of fear for the Liger. The remaining members of team Freedom, except Salt, expunge the Death Metal forces.
Seeing his hesitation, the team (sans Salt) challenge Arashi in a match. Arashi again finds himself unable to use the Wild Blast. It's only when he realises that he's different to the Resistance forces, that he overcomes the fear and successfully unleashes his Wild Blast. Salt reveals the other half of the photo that links the Kuwaga to the man in the resistance.
At the end of the episode, the Resistant forces return, including the Kuwaga. They were not defeated as previously thought.
