Needle and Thread! is the 41st episode of Zoids: Wild. It first aired in Japan on the 27th of April 2019.

Overview

Following the lead for the Great Ancient Treasure Z, the team make their way to an archaeological site. Dark Metal had formerly used it to dig up Zoids, now there was just one man trying to scrounge up remaining parts to create a Rapterrix. His name is Kaito.

He explains to Battalia that there should be parts nearby to repair Needle, which was still missing a claw from the damage in previous episodes.

She finds one, but it was dangling off a cliff side. While abseiling down, he rope slips and she starts to fall. However, she's caught by none other than Snare. Snare introduces herself as a member of Team Freedom, and realises that Battalia is also Freedom based on her Zoid's mark and her own badge. At this point Battalia didn't know who Snare was.

The two make their way back to the dig site, and they realise the man needs electricity to revive the Raptor he was working on. Battalia and Snare decide to head to a Death Metal camp to steal the Z.E.D gear to make the energy, and fix the Scorpear using the camp's equipment.

They arrive and Battalia starts working on her Zoid, but Dark Metal forces quickly arrive. Snare takes down a few and steals the remaining Dark Metal keys from them, limiting their ability to Dark Blast.

Battalia busts out, with her Zoid now fixed and both use their Wild Blasts, taking down all but one opponent. For the final guy, they use a combination attack and swiftly defeat him.

When they get back to camp, they try using the Z.E.D to revive the Raptor, but ultimately fail. The man states that he wasn't going to give up trying to find the good in Zoids. He used to see discarded parts as garbage, but there was a pair or archaeologists much better than him that could always see the good in Zoids. They were Drake's parents.

The team eventually leave, resuming their journey.

Trivia

  • Battalia's final attack in the Switch video game is a combination move with Snare, this episode also features the pair doing a combination move.
