The Belly of the Beast! is the 49th episode of Zoids: Wild. It first aired in Japan on the 22nd of June 2019.

Drake faces Gigaboss, and Gigaboss unleashes Demise. Drake boards Demise in an attempt to use it to defeat Gigaboss. However, Demise is entirely obedient to Gigaboss.

Elsewhere Arashi, Apex, Analog, Battalia and Bastion discuss Drake entering Dark Metal alone. Some time later Router approaches and tells them: bring Demise's Hacker Key in exchange for Drake.

They prepare to charge into Dark Metal.

Battalia and Bastion both give Greta parting possessions, she is convinced by their resolve to take their message and pass it on. She speaks to members in the resistance, who then contact the remaining forces of Supreme.

On his own, Master Bug is also seen running towards the final fight.

Team Freedom reach Dark Metal, and reflect for a moment prior to charging in. Here, Snare shows up. She is after all a member of Freedom.

They all rush Dark Metal and are quickly attacked by the Deleters, Malware and Haxile. All of their opponent are using Dark Blasts, but Freedom are reluctant to engage their Wild Blasts so early on in the fight. Eventually Bastion and Analog activate their Wild Blasts to let the others through. Shade and Dyna arrive and do the same. They find themselves still unwilling to destroy Grax and Rash belonging to Supreme.

Approaching the fortress held by Gigaboss, the remaining group is again interrupted by Numb-Lock. His upgraded Dragz proves very powerful. Apex convinces Arashi not to engage his Wild Blast, and lets Battalia and Arashi past while he and Snare engage Dragz.

Inside the main hall, Battalia convinces Arashi to continue forward. It's only now that Arashi notices Penne and the Scorpear are badly damaged. She again convinces him to advance while she activates her Wild Blast and charges Deleters within the building.

Eventually Arashi comes up to Gigaboss. Drake is wounded at his feet and Ruin in chains. Gigaboss asks for the Hacker Key in exchange for Drake. After considering it, Arashi throws the key towards Gigaboss, but Drake intercepts it. Ruin breaks its chains and catches Drake.

But their victory is short-lived. Demise breaks through the wall and knocks down Ruin, sending Drake flying off it.

Gigaboss obtains both halves of the Zoid Key and boards Demise.

He then tells both of them a secret, that Demise is the "Ancient Treasure Z" that they had been looking for, and now it was complete.

As the episode ends, Gigaboss activates the Death Rex's full-power Dark Blast.

  • This is the first time all members of Team Freedom are together.
  • Router requests for the Hacker Key of Demise. This is despite it being a natural Zoid Key, not an artifical Hacker Key.
  • Substantial content was removed in the Netflix dub. In the Japanese Version Candy (Shade) is forced to do a suicide attack against the Knuckle Kong (Dragz), with the Hunter Wolf (Alpha Shadow) being caught up in the blast. Candy is spared, but his Zoid goes down. Additionally the other members of team supreme are seen fighting on foot using conventional weapons.
