Monster Tortoise! That man, Zoid Professor is the seventh episode of Zoids: Wild. It first aired in Japan on August 18, 2018.
Overview
This episode introduces Onigiri, the boy professor.
The episode starts with the Liger being uncharacteristically emotional, dashing towards a Death Metal research institute, where it and Arashi are captured.
Arashi is put into a cell where he meets Onigiri. Onigiri is the partner of a Gannontoise, and developing keys for Death Metal's Death Blast, much to his reluctance.
He is forced to use a prototype key on the Gannontoise, causing it much harm. His reluctance is obvious. Ultimately it fails to trigger a Death Blast on the Zoid.
The Wild Liger breaks free and Arashi is assaulted by the researches stationed there. They use a combo attack from a Raptor and a Kuwaga. The Liger is restrained to some extent, and finds it tough to beat them.
After a bit of a fight, one of the researches attaches the prototype equipment onto the Raptor and triggers a Death Blast. It's ultimately dispatched regardless.
With just the Kuwaga, the remaining Zoid attacks Onigiri, but is intercepted by the Gannontoise. Despite being harmed by Onigiri, the Gannontoise recognises the situation he was forced to be in.
A key pops out and the Gannontoise uses its Wild Blast to free them. Towards the end of the episode Onigiri joins team Freedom.
The episode ends with the researches pleading to their superior, Caviar (one of the Four Heavenly Kings/Elite Four). Their Zoids are dropped into a pit containing Caviar's Gabriator. Caviar phones Drake to tell him of the Liger.
Trivia
- Onigiri is the third member of team Freedom, but is the second person to use a Wild Blast.
