Rematch! Ruin Returns! is the eighth episode of Zoids: Wild. It first aired in Japan on August 25, 2018.
Overview[]
This episode brings back Drake.
The episode starts by seeing Dark Metal's forces attacking a village, who are defended by the resistance and successfully fend them off. That is, until Drake attacks and takes them down.
We see a glimpse of Drake talking to Gigaboss, the leader of Dark Metal. Drake has continuously tried to do his orders, like track down the Liger, but is constantly side-tracked by Gigaboss's menial tasks. Unable to deflect blame back onto Gigaboss, Drake is assigned another menial task and sorties.
Back with Arashi, he and Analog get chatting, and it turns out Analog has heard of Quade before. However, Analog quickly realises that Arashi doesn't know much about Zoids, he quizzes Arashi on the types of some Zoids, and Arashi fails all of them.
To make up for it, Analog takes Arashi studying. Which is entirely unsuccessful.
As the episode progresses, Arashi and Analog leave their Zoids to enter an electricity-filled forest. Here they encounter Drake. After a brief bout of talking, they end up fighting. Elsewhere Ruin and Liger being to battle without their partners, while the Tanks is left behind.
The Zoids catch up to their partners and the battle ramps up.
Drake easily bests Arashi's Wild Blast using his Dark Blast, but has to retreat to get back to Gigaboss, and deliver the electric bamboo shoot he had dug up earlier.
Trivia[]
