Crash! GilRaptor Returns is the eighth episode of Zoids: Wild. It first aired in Japan on August 25, 2018.
Overview
This episode brings back Drake.
The episode starts by seeing Death Metal's forces attacking a village, who successfully fend them off. That is, until Drake attacks and takes them down.
We see a glimpse of Drake talking to Gallagher, the leader of Death Metal. Drake has continuously tried to do his orders, like track down the Wild Liger, but is constantly side-tracked by Ghallager's menial tasks (e.g. Melon Crushing, attending parties, and board games).
Back with Arashi, he Onigiri get chatting, and it turns out Onigiri has heard of Bacon before. However, Onigiri quickly realises that Arashi doesn't know much about Zoids, he quizzes Arashi on the types of some Zoids, and Arashi fails all of them (e.g. says the Liger is 'Wild type')
To make up for it, Onigiri takes Arashi studying. Which is entirely unsuccessful.
As the episode progresses, Arashi and Onigiri encounter Drake (without their Zoids). After a brief bout of talking, they end up fighting (the Gilraptor and Wild Liger being the battle without their parters, while the Gannontoise sits by idly).
Drake easily bests Arashi's Wild Blast using his Death Blast, but has to retreat to get back to Ghallager, and play the afore mentioned board game.
Trivia
- The villagers use gold coloured Raptors instead of Death Metal's red ones.
- When Arashi and Onigiri are studying, the silhouette of many Zoids can be seen. Some of these had not yet featured, such as the Catalga, Knuckle Kong, Stegosage, Spideath, Gabrigator, Dimepulsar, Triceradogos, Valga and Death Rex.
