TBA is the sixteenth episode of the Zoids: Wild ZERO anime series, based on TOMY's Zoids franchise. It first aired in Japan on January 31, 2020 on TV Tokyo.
Overview[]
After the destruction of the Genospino the leader of the Republic, Crestwood meets with the Empress of the Empire, Fiona.
Leo and the others are taken onto the Neo Helic ship. It's a city where 1st generation people can live without masks. Here they meet Dias' parents (who mention Dias' first name is Clive). Dias also tells Jo that her mission to observe Leo and the others is now over. She must return to regular military service.
As they eat a meal with Dias' parent, a new character enters. Her name is Sherry and she's another soldier with the republic. She offers Leo a medal for his work defeating the Genospino. Most of the people there are in awe of the presentation.
She also asks Leo if they can gain data on the Rising Liger's power it gained from evolution. He agrees to participate in a virtual battle. Leo and the Liger enter a virtual-reality simulation where they fight successive Zoids from the Empire. He defeats all of them, showing off many of the Liger's unique traits in the process.
Elsewhere in the Empire, Shigaru is hauled before a tribunal for treason. He is convicted, but Dr Land is exonerated. Shigaru laments that had he been successful he would have been heralded a hero.
Back with Leo, when the tests finish Sherry offers him a position in the Republic military. Which Leo promptly rejects. He returns the medal politely and leaves. Dias and Sherry talk for a bit, and state to each other that the Rising Liger's power would be a great help to the Republican forces. While they know Leo if left free will not be a threat, they worry about the Empire gaining his power. They both correctly point out that Leo would never betray them, but Leo's only half of the issue. The other half is the Liger itself. The Empire, should they gain the Liger, could use a Visor to forcibly control it.
This concern makes them assign a Republican watcher to stay with Leo. Dias naturally re-assigns Jo to her mission of tagging along with the party.
As the episode comes to conclusion, the main cast once again are talking to Dias' parents. They tell the cast how difficult it was arriving on a desolate Earth as 1st generation migrants. They explain the great work that had to be put in to rebuild cities despite the problems of needing masks and Jamminga roaming.
