TBA is the twenty-seventh episode of the Zoids: Wild ZERO anime series, based on TOMY's Zoids franchise. It first aired in Japan on April 17, 2020 on TV Tokyo.
Overview[]
Dr Land uses bandages to cover up the fact that his ageing has reversed.
He and Shigaru both know that the Republic/Empire are trying to revive the Genospino. Since their offensive failed, they try sending the Drei Panther to use stealth instead.
Given the state of research in the Republic/Empire, even with their combined knowledge they don't actually know how to revive a damaged Zoid core. They need Dr Bowman to do that. Sally helps as much as she can in the meantime.
Back at Dr Land's base, Hannah Melville reminiscences about her past. She was an orphan, and as a child their orphanage was swamped by Jamminga. But for some reason the Jamminga didn't attack her, she could calmly touch them, almost befriend them.
This caused her problems. The other children wouldn't approach her, thinking she was scary for being friends with Jamminga. Eventually Dr Land found her and took her in. He taught her a great deal about Zoids and made her into a pilot. She calls him "father" for this reason.
As this goes on, the Drei Panther beings its attack. It takes down a Pachycedos and Gilraptor using stealth and slips past Luc. His Zoid is silent and doesn't appear on sensors thanks to its stealth. The dark colour allows it to slip out of view easily.
He gets close to the Genospino, but then Baan shows up. A battle shortly ensues as the Drei Panther lurks inside a a building using pillars as cover and the darkness to get the jump on Baan. Baan uses his Evo Blast to try and illuminate the area, but it's not effective as the Drei Panther sneaks around him and attacks from behind. The pair exchange blows and Baan shoots holes in the building as an attempt to get the jump on the Panther. It's moderately effective, but doesn't allow him to land and strong blows.
Eventually, Baan moves to a large gap in the side wall. The Panther goes on the attack, thinking Baan is about to flee. But Baan uses his flares from before to blind the Panther momentarily, and then push him out the hole. The panther falls from a great height and is caught by the forces below. Baan notices that Dr Borman is there.
Finally, as the episode beings to close. Shigaru begins to make an announcement to the world: They are not fighting for the Empire or the Republic. They are forming a new "True Empire", using Hannah, a daughter of the previous Emperor to stake their claim.
