Overview

Giller confronts Melville. Omega Rex vs Genospino.

The Omega Rex takes over from Melville and forces her to use the Charged Particle Cannon. She wanted to minimise damage to the joint forces, but the Genospino causes the Omega Rex to overpower her control.

Giller narrowly dodges the Charged Particle Cannon, and the wake of the weapon vaporises the sea behind them. The water falls back down as rain.

With no limits on its Machine Blast, the Omega Rex simply beings preparation to fire again. Dias uses his combined forces to attempt to sway the battle, but to little effect. Giller instead takes change and uses the terrain to his advantage. He positions the Genospino behind oil storage containers and activates his Machine Blast. He uses the saw to cut through the containers and his flamethrower to ignite them.

While both the Omega Rex and Genospino are undamaged by the fire, it completely obscures the Genospino from view. This causes the Omega Rex to miss with its cannon.

Giller slips around and manages to get in close. Now within range, he begins to hammer on the Omega Rex's particle intake fan using the Genospino. However, even his Machine Blast is ineffective. The same barrier that thwarted Leo Conrad proves strong enough to block even repeated hits from the Genospino.

Eventually the Omega Rex fires again, this time landing a substantial hit on the Genospino's side. But thanks to the close proximity of the two Zoids, the Genospino's saw manages to also cleave off one of the particle cannon attachments on the Omega Rex's face.

Frank Land contacts Melville and tells her to withdraw, the fight had gone within expectations and clearly shown the power of the Omega Rex.

As the forces of the Republic and Empire recuperate, Dr Borman talks about the fruits of his research. He's devised a way to take down the pendant unit on the Omega Rex. It's a small missile called a "deflector" that can break the pendant. But there's an issue: the pendant unit itself is located under the particle intake fan. It's only open to attack when the Omega Rex is preparing to fire the Charged Particle Cannon.

Taking advantage of this tiny window would require a fast manoeuvrable Zoid. So they pick Jake Ramon and the Sonic Bird.

Dias gets Leo into a meeting with their combined forces to go over their tactics. Even with this deflector, they don't want to put all their faith in such a slim window of attack, so they'll still need the Genospino as their main method of dealing with the Omega Rex.

To add to their forces, Dias reveals they will be deploying a newly developed weapon: the Gravity Cannon.

The Gravity Cannon

Some of the people in the room had heard that name before, a legendary weapon that existed back on Planet Zi.

But the Gravity Cannon Unit can only be equipped to a Lion Zoid. Dias will use it on his Wild Liger. But they will aslo rely on Leo and his Rising Liger.

The group form their battalion: the taget "Neo Zenebas Cit".

As the episode concludes, Shigaru is addressing his newly formed "True Empire" soldiers, preparing them for war. Melville protests, she believes the Omega Rex is enough and there's no need to fight the forces of the Empire they are superseding. Her concerns are dismissed.

Shigaru grants Aldridge the Omega Rex, but not before one last twist. Dr Land shows up and tosses Aldridge aside. He undoes his bandages to reveal his reversed ageing thanks to being exposed to the pendant and having a Zoid Factor inside him. Due to this, he personally takes control of the Omega Rex.
