Overview[]

Frank Land deploys the Omega Rex against Neo Zenebas City, the capital of the Empire.

His movements through the ocean are tracked by a group of Sniptera, but the lose visual of their target as he dives deep.

None the less, the Empire and Republic set up a defensive line on the shore. They prepare for the attack as best they can. Knox, Luc and Shell are all present in the defensive line.

Elsewhere, Leo, Dias and Baan go to meet Jo who has taken charge of deploying the Gravity Cannon Unit.

Sally Land works with Dr Borman to finish the Deflector so that Jake can use it on his Sonic Bird.

Giller waits for repairs to the Genospino.

As all these preparations go on, Frank Land emerges right in the middle of the city. He used the Charged Particle Cannon to blast a tunnel underground and bypass the defensive line. Without wasting a beat, he rapidly fires the Charged Particle Cannon, taking out the defence forces and blasting a hole into the colony ship above.

Using the opening, Shigaru enters and quickly storms the palace to where Fiona sits. His troupes use a new Zoid, the Kill Scythe to overpower the Empire's Raptors. He poses to her a document to hand the Empire over to him and Hannah Melville.

But the battle outside is not yet lost. Giller appears, with the Genospino being air-transported by Sniptera.

Giller immediately engages the Omega Rex in close quarters combat.

The two fight fiercely, but Frank Land still has the Charged Particle Cannon. He begins to deploy it against the Genospino. It lands a hit and severely damages the Zoid. Only the flash intervention of Dias and Baan distract the Omega Rex enough for Giller to survive.

But those Zoids alone are no match for the Omega Rex. The lack the firepower to do any real damage, and even their speed isn't enough to escape. The Omega Rex gives chase and nearly catches them. But again, the battle is interrupted. This time by Shell, Knox and Luc bombarding the Omega Rex and its surrounds. Dropping buildings on the Zoid prove enough to slow it down.

This gives time for Leo and Buzz Cunningham to set up the Gravity Cannon.

He has a shot lined up, but the Sonic Bird has not yet arrived with the Deflector.

Forced to wait, Leo sees the Omega Rex preparing to fire the Charged Particle Cannon. He's left with no choice but to shoot.

The shell fires, and strikes true. However, the Omega Rex survives, and Frank Land recognises the weapon. He decides to immediately target Leo with the Charged Particle Cannon.

Leo, immobile, has no way of defending against the attack.

Thankfully they managed to buy enough time. The Sonic Bird arrives with the Deflector. Jake fires three spikes into the opening of the Omega Rex's particle intake fan and disables the pendant unit generator.

Frank Land is momentarily confused to why the cannon stopped working, but he doesn't need it, he's still an Omega Rex. Even with just conventional weapons his Zoid is nigh unstoppable.

But Leo does have the firepower to stop him. He prepares the second shell of the Gravity Cannon.

This time it strikes the Omega Rex in the ocean and takes the Zoid down.

  • The post-credit scene talks about a great battle on Planet Zi when talking about the Gravity Cannon. This is likely a reference to the events in Zoids: Chaotic Century.
