TBA is the thirty-fourth episode of the Zoids: Wild ZERO anime series, based on TOMY's Zoids franchise. It first aired in Japan on June 26, 2020 on TV Tokyo.
Overview[]
With no real leads on where to find regeneration cubes, buzz wants the main cast to take on odd jobs as couriers like before. However, his plans are interrupted as Jo returns with hints of a cave deep in "True Empire" territory.
Empire forces are gradually making progress against the True Empire, but significant pockets of forces remain. These forces attack anyone regardless of affiliation so Leo and Buzz are granted no protection as being civilians.
Chris Giller leads a strike for against one such cell as Leo and the others use the fighting to make their way into the cave.
Inside the ranks of the True Empire, Aldridge debates if Frank Land is still alive. Hannah Melville believes he is. She doesn't state this just out of optimism for being his daughter, but also due to the pilot suit technology to keep him safe. Frank Land developed the suits and they provide limited life support and ability to handle water immersion.
Spiegel waits on the Drei Panther to be repaired, and Shigaru takes him to a secret Zoid developed by Frank Land: the Hunter Wolf Kai. Spiegel deploys against Chris Giller and after an intense fight forces him to withdraw.
Leo and the others reach the cave and find it filled with valuable minerals. But (much to the chagrin of Buzz) are forced to abandon their search when the cover offered by the Empire expires.
Throughout this whole episode another perspective is given. That of Frank Land himself. He finds himself washed ashore. Alive but with no food or water and far too weak to find any. Before long he's surrounded by Jamminga. With no options all he can do is raise is hand and weakly ask them to stop. His hand glows and the Jamminga obey his orders.
He finds he can control the Jamminga. He uses them to gather supplies and lets them rest after. As he eats, Sally's pendant (which is still in his possession) reacts and points to a nearby regeneration cube.
He ventures in and initially wants to use the pendant to activate the cube. But given his experience just gained with the Jamminga decides to change tact and activates the cube using his own arm. The cube glows a purple light and it activates. He laughs as he celebrates his achievement, he could be a king of Zoids with this power.
But just for a brief moment Frank Land sees a vision: of a person fused to a regeneration cube.
The light resonates around the area, to which even he is unsure as to what's about to happen.
