TBA is the thirty-eighth episode of the Zoids: Wild ZERO anime series, based on TOMY's Zoids franchise. It first aired in Japan on July 24, 2020 on TV Tokyo.
Overview[]
The group head off in search of another Vortex.
Here they come to a remote jungle. They meet a man on their travel, but he doesn't say much other than it's dangerous to proceed. The group pass him on and progress regardless.
What they find is an immense jungle full of Wild Zoids.
Leo Conrad and the other even spot a battle between a Grachiosaurus and a Death Rex, where both use their Wild Blasts.
Being Wild Zoids, they lack conventional weapons and cockpits. After the battle subsides the Zoids Factor light activates and regenerates the Zoids that were defeated.
Here the group notice something odd. A sole grave stone left perched on a nearby cliff. When the group investigate it, they realise it's marked: Joshua Conrad.
The man from earlier now approaches them. He introduces himself as Volkov. He knew Leo's father and built the grave they are at.
Volkov was a poor man with no family and at one point in the past sole from Joshua to gain food. Joshua took him in an employed him as part of his search. Volkov considered Joshua to be a mentor to him.
Now knowing who the group are, he begins to reveal information that he had withheld earlier. He takes them to a foggy place just past the jungle where a massive Zoid Core was seen stuck in 65 million year old rock formations. The core is surrounded by fossilised Zoids and Jamminga.
Leo approaches the core, and when he touches it he sees a vision, again containing the mysterious person fused to the Regeneration Cubes. A meteor crashed to earth 65 million years ago and a massive Zoid, the Zero Grizis led an army of Zero Phantoth and lay waste to the area using its Wild Blast. The vision continues and Leo sees Dr Land activating another Regeneration Cube.
Leo snaps back to present to find that the Zoid Core was now activating. He immediately instructs the group to destroy it. But they are blocked by a Zero Phantoth suddenly attacking them. By the time they make it past the Zero Phantoth, the Zoid Core had regressed far underground.
