Defend Zoid Ruins! is the fourth episode of the Zoids: Wild ZERO anime series, based on TOMY's Zoids franchise. It first aired in Japan on October 25, 2019 on TV Tokyo.

Synopsis[]
The team head to a ruined city with Lt Dias from the republic. They see that Zoids are being excavated. The Liger interacts with plants growing there, and Sally muses the effectiveness of her grandfather's research.
As they wander around, Sally finds herself unwittingly near an explosive excavation, but she is saved by Jo Aysel, a republican geo archaeological researcher.
It turns out the Jo knows Leo's father, he's also a researcher that left several years ago.
The group explore a part of the underground city, but are interrupted by a group of Jammingas. The Beast Liger is too large to enter the underground passageway, but thankfully Jo's Raptoria is able to enter and saves them.
As this goes on, Aldridge from the Empire attacks the base using his Stylaser and a group of Gabrigators. Dias goes to fight Aldridge and sends the Ganontoise escorts back to help against the Gabrigators.
Leo with the help of the Ganontoise fend of the Gabrigators, but find themselves up against Aldridge. In that short time, Aldridge had defeated Dias. Aldridge's Machine Blast proves to be effective against the Liger.
Leo however uses his lessons learnt from before and sends Jo underground with explosives to collapse the ground, immobilising Aldridge and his comrades temporarily. Leo takes this opportunity to use the Beast Liger's Evo Blast to defeated Aldridge.
Aldridge deploys smoke and swiftly retreats with his forces.
As the episode ends, Jo decides to travel with the group. They ask Dias if he knows of Sally's grandfather, but he doesn't.
