The Republic and Empire continue to clash with the True Empire. However they are now able to use their Wild Blasts thanks to upgrades on their pilot suits.
The True Empire headquarters, now at a disadvantage reveal that the Omega Rex has been fully repaired. Without Dr Land they can't use the Charged Particle Cannon, but even without it the Zoid is still neigh unbeatable.
They need to decide on a pilot. Aldridge steps up knowing full well the backlash he'll take being its pilot. He says a farewell to the Fang Tiger and stoutly commits to fighting in the Omega Rex. He docks with the Omega Rex and sorties, glowing with purple light.
Elsewhere, Leo and the others are investigating Regeneration Cubes. They come across a relatively untouched industrial base from the 21st century that contains one.
They activate the cube, but find something unusual: a set of Long Buster Cannons.
Humans in the 21st century developed the technology to fight against Zoids in the Zoid Crisis. To do so they built the Long Buster Cannons and armed it with shells fuelled from the Regeneration Cube.
They find a handful of shells and Jo calls in the Republic to requisition the weapons.
Buzz notices one more buried shell, and quietly pockets it into his Jeep knowing it's quite the find.
They decide to have Leo use the Long Buster Cannons to fight the Omega Rex. The Gravity Cannon can't be deployed in such a short time frame. But even with the firepower of the Long Buster Cannons, the Omega Rex is still a formidable Zoid that won't go down in just one shot.
Melville assists with this. From her experience with the Zoid she reveals a vulnerability. She explains that flexible tubes run through the Zoid and that a limiter is put in place just below the head of the Zoid. Striking this limiter in rapid succession should be enough to shut down the Omega Rex.
The group equip the Long Buster Cannons onto the Rising Liger, and send Leo and Baan into an underground carpark below the path of the Omega Rex.
Baan engages first, breaking through the ground to get a surprise attack on the Omega Rex. Using this vantage point, Leo lands the first hit. Aldridge is caught by surprise and the attack is immediately assisted by Republic and Empire forces, they occupy the Omega Rex while Leo travels to Jo looking to reload.
He equips the final shell while Jake and Giller engage the Omega Rex using the Sonic Bird and Sniptera. They are assisted by a group of Kuwaganos. The flying Zoids make the Omega Rex look up, exposing the neck for one last attack.
Leo takes the shot, but is interrupted by Kill Scythe equipped with stealth. He misses hiss mark and the plan is a failure. The Kill Scythe are quickly taken out, and they technically have time left on their window of attack. But lacking any more shells, they don't have the power to deliver the final blow.
Except Buzz comes to the rescue. He begrudgingly reveals the shell he tucked away earlier.
Departing with his treasure gives Leo one more chance to attack the Omega Rex. He uses the Sonic Bird as a springboard to get in close and with only a second to spare, strikes the Omega Rex.
The attack is successful and the Omega Rex is defeated.
Aldridge is captured by Empire soldiers, and is last seen hailing the True Empire as he's detained.

- the "Long Buster Cannon" featuring in this episode are Gojulas munitions. The weapons in particular are stylised based on the HMM Gojulas Cannon Set. It is mentioned that humans used technology from Zi to build the weapons in an attempt to fight Zoids in the 21st century.
