TBA is the forty-fourth episode of the Zoids: Wild ZERO anime series, based on TOMY's Zoids franchise. It first aired in Japan on September 04, 2020 on TV Tokyo.
Overview[]
With a sense of renewed urgency, Leo and the others are tasked with activating as many Regeneration Cubes as possible. Should the Zero Grizis get to them, it could spell the end of the world.
Dr Borman uses Joshua Conrad's notebook to discover a potential weakness in the Zero Grizis: the location of its Zoid Core.
The combined Republic and Empire forces attack the Zero Grizis, but knowing the location of the Zoid Core is not enough. Conventional weapons are simply useless against the Zero Grizis.
None the less, they manage to buy some time for Leo to activate several cubes. They run into many Vortexes with floating rocks and eventually uphill waterfalls surrounding their targeted cubes.
Eventually though their paths cross. In a dense jungle Leo finds himself on a direct collision course with the Zero Grizis. The Empire and Republic are unable to communicate with him until the Zero Grizis is right on top of them.
With the Genospino and Omega Rex still out of action, the only option is the Gravity Cannon. Dias is informed that they have a new shell for the cannon ready. He stations himself on a good vantage point and instructs the combined forces to lure the Zero Grizis to him.
The combined forces jump the Zero Grizis a second time. This time Baan is also in the mix. Leo and the others quickly pick up on the attack.
By using Baan's stealth, and the agility of the Rising Liger, the pair are able to jump right onto the head of the Zero Grizis. This doesn't damage the Zero Grizis, but does draw its attention.
Jo, meanwhile, defends the nearby Regeneration Cube from metal vines accompanying the Zero Grizis.
The Zero Grizis is draw into the trap. Dias has his shot and takes it. The Zero Grizis is hit with the Gravity Cannon shell.
However, the super-giant Zoid is not defeated immediately. It manages to remain mobile even in the hyper gravity field surrounding it.
The Zoid slowly ponders towards the Regeneration Cube, where Leo is forced to intervene.
Just as the hyper gravity field connects with the Regeneration Cube, Leo activates his Zoid Factor. His Rising Liger is bathed in orange light from the Regeneration Cube, and it protects him (even from the Gravity Cannon).
Using this momentary advantage, he charges straight through to the Zero Grizis and impales it with his Evo Blast.
The Zoid goes down just as the hyper gravity field dissipates.
With the cube activated, and the Zero Grizis down, it looks like the day is saved.
But it is not to be: as the Vortex collapses around them a metal sheath surges from the ground to encase the Zero Grizis.
