The Ancient Emperor Dragon's Final Evolution is the forty-seventh episode of the Zoids: Wild ZERO anime series, based on TOMY's Zoids franchise. It first aired in Japan on September 25, 2020 on TV Tokyo.

Overview[edit | edit source]

The Republic and Empire send out forces searching for the Zero Grizis energy signature. Despite having not activated the final Regeneration Cube (and thus meaning the Earth is set for destruction) many of the characters are discussing their next plans. Empress Fiona meets with Melville, Jo considers leaving the military, and Dr Borman reminisces on his past dealing with Dr Land.

Jake and Baan have a training exercise with the Sonic Bird and Gatling Fox, but that too is interrupted with the constant earthquakes appearing around the world.

Dias is called in for an activation test of the newly repaired Omega Rex. The Zoid is large and thus puts an immense strain on his body. They can only really get one shot from the Charged Particle Cannon.

Elsewhere Shell, Luc and Knox find the Zero Grizis energy signature. Its cocoon appears along with a group of Zero Phantoth. The group engage but are powerless to deal any damage. Additionally, the Zero Phantoth are surrounded by a purple light. The light instantly turns any Zoids that touch it to stone. Faced with overwhelming odds, the three commanders try and fight their best, but it's ultimately futile.

However, air support comes in. Carried by Sniptera, the Omega Rex (Dias) and Genospino (Giller) are deployed.

These Zoids make short work of the Zero Phantoth.

They come into contact with the purple light, but the legendary Zoids glow with orange light and repel the negative effects deployed around them.

They then move onto the Zero Grizis itself.

The Genospino carves a hole into the previously invulnerable cocoon, and the Omega Rex fires the Charged Particle Cannon into the opening.

But it's not enough. The Zero Grizis appears out of the wrecked metal envelop and blasts both the Genospino and Omega Rex.

With the Zero Grizis, metal in the area blooms into the form of Electora Gate. She awakens the Zoid and calls fourth the world of Zoids.
