TBA is the forty-ninth episode of the Zoids: Wild ZERO anime series, based on TOMY's Zoids franchise. It first aired in Japan on October 09, 2020 on TV Tokyo.

Overview[]

Leo Conrad is turned to metal, but he is still alive. Walter Borman explains that his Zoid factor could be awakened to save him. However, without the pendant (that Frank Land still has) there's nothing he can do.

Sally points out that Leo wasn't the only one exposed to the pendant's light. The Rising Liger was also evolved. They hook Leo up to the Liger in order to awaken him using the Liger's Zoid Factor.

Elsewhere the battle against the Zero Grizis continues. They lure the zoid onto a Geofront stationed on its path. Using a set of Jury-rigged explosives they detonate the ground below the Zero Grizis, sinking it into lava.

Initially, they seem successful. The Zoid is completely encased in lava.

However, it's not to be. The Zero Grizis is still active even within the lava, and its metalises the ground around it before blasting its way out.

Now, nothing stands between it and the capital of the Republic.

The president of the Republic makes a daring decision: To stop the Zero Grizis he will self-destruct the republic Capital Ship "Neo Helic", and leave behind only the founded city "New Hope". Jo, Jake Ramon and Sherry board the massive colony ship to act out its final duty. As do Crestwood (the president) and Garret (the military commander). They authorise the final self-destruct.

The colony ship activates its massive Magnesser System and detaches itself from the city below. It slowly moves to the Zero Grizis.

Frank Land tries to stop them, rapidly firing the Zero Grizis' cannon at it.

Although the blasts rip straight though the ship, the sheer mass of it means even the Zero Grizis can't take it down in such a short time.

The ship crashes into the Zero Grizis and detonates in a massive explosion.

As the crater of the Republican Capital forms, the Omega Rex and Genospino re-appear, seemingly falling out of black hole confinement set up by the Zero Grizis.

Elsewhere, Sally clings desperately to Leo. Inside his unconscious state he sees his father. His dad's consciousness speaks to him and tells him how much Leo has grown. Unfortunately, Joshua Conrad can't also be saved. Leo eventually regains consciousness to the tears of Sally.

Joshua's body breaks apart into Orange light, with his best friend "beans" (Volkov) still nearby.

As the episode ends, the Zero Grizis awakens from its crater within a furious blast of purple light.
