TBA is the fiftieth and last episode of the Zoids: Wild ZERO anime series, based on TOMY's Zoids franchise. It first aired in Japan on October 16, 2020 on TV Tokyo.
Overview[]
A pillar of purple light surrounds the Zero Grizis, showing it's still alive. The Zoid is badly damaged, but none the less able to fight.
The hovering ring emerges first and opens a black hole momentarily, which forces the Republic onlookers to retreat.
Then the Zero Grizis takes aim: It shoots directly towards the city of "New Hope" - the Republican settlement left behind after the capital ship "Neo Helic" was destroyed.
Frank Land himself is injured. Orange cracks show up on his metal form, Electora informs him this is because the final activation of the Regeneration Cubes has not been completed. He responds by moving forward to his ultimate goal.
Completely out of options, the Empire and Republican soldiers rally in front of the final activation point: the area where Electora's Regeneration Cube would emerge.
As Jake and the Sonic Bird fly overhead, he notices something strange. The metal left in the wake behind the Zero Grizis was disintegrating. It turns out that Leo was right behind the Zero Grizis.
Leo's Zoid Factor allows him to neutralise the metal left behind by Frank Land.
Leo himself is followed by Baan, the two jump the Zero Grizis and take aim at an injured eye on its head. Baan uses flares to distract the Zoid, while Leo strikes it with his Rising Liger. They are also quickly backed up by the massed forces of the Empire and Republic.
This assault, however, does nothing to stop the Zero Grizis and Frank Land once again uses his Wild Blast: Zi End.
It shreds the remaining forces, even grounding Jake.
Now with nothing between him and his final goal, Frank Land moves forward.
Here, Dias and Giller show up. They lack their Wild Blasts, but are still able to operate the Genospino and Omega Rex. These Zoids even without weapons are able to slightly slow down the Zero Grizis.
Moments away from final activation, Leo jumps directly at the Zero Grizis. His orange Zoid Factor engulfs the Liger, protecting it. Frank Land responds by opening up the chest of the Zero Grizis and once again firing "Zi End". After the attack ends, Leo is gone.
Frank reaches his goal. He and Electora complete the network of Regeneration Cubes, converting them all to purple light.
Sally and Melville watch on from their Sniptera, and hear a noise. It's the revolver from the Rising Liger. It's inside the Zero Grizis.
The Liger hammers at the Zero Grizis Zoid Core, and with enough hits, defeats it. Their Zoid Factor overrides the purple light and completes the network, converting it back to successful activation.
Buzz is given a good offer for courier work, but Leo can't accept. He wants to travel the world in his father's footsteps. Sally states she'll stay with her grandfather to continue his research.
As it seems the three would go their different ways, Melville tells Sally that she'll help Dr Borman. Her time assisting Frank Land means she knows how to conduct research. This frees up Sally to travel with Leo, something Borman approves of. Buzz gives up and immediately tells them he's coming to, to give Sally a ride. Leo tells him he's not needed.
But in all this the Liger interjects.
The episode ends with Leo and the Liger going on a run, to replicate the very first jump they had attempted at the start of the series.
