The Great Mission to Rescue Liger! is the seventh episode of the Zoids: Wild ZERO anime series, based on TOMY's Zoids franchise. It first aired in Japan on November 15, 2019 on TV Tokyo.
Overview[]
Leo Conrad is nowhere to be found as the Imperial Army extract and take possession of the Beast Liger. Jo Aysel goes in search of him and heads downstream. She finds him in a set of ruins, unconscious but alive.
The ruins are unusual, in that the buildings are not just dilapidated, but also cut at odd angles. There is a massive hole where the Empire has extracted a huge Zoid. It is none other than the Genospino, the Zoid of ruin.
Lt Dias from the republic arrives and takes the group to his base to give Leo medical treatment.
He reveals that the republic is nearby to an Imperial base, where the Liger is taken, but can't take any action lest they accidentally start a war.
To solve this, the group are given imperial uniforms and attempt to sneak into the base to get the Liger themselves.
They hoard up some of the Jammingas from the ruins earlier and let the loose near the gates of the imperial base, using the disguises plus the confusion to sneak in.
They locate the Liger, and quickly give it some running repairs. However, Jo sneaks off and fires a turret towards her allies in the Republic. Now with a valid excuse to retaliate, the republican forces can mobilize against the base.
Leo equips the Liger with weapons lying around and the group blast through the Imperial forces and make their escape.
