Zoids 2: Helic Kyouwakoku VS Guylos Teikoku was released on the 21st of February, 2002 on the PlayStation. It is a turn-based strategy game based on the early Battle Story, you can choose to play as the Helic Republic or the Guylos Empire. Players move a wide selection of Zoid units to try and beat the computer-controlled enemy forces. There is also a two-player versus mode where players pit their Zoids against each other.

Gameplay

This game is made up of a series of missions. Between each mission you have the ability to take a short break and navigate the games main menu to take a look at Zoids, equipment, etc. This is also your chance to re organize the two units in your military. There are two units, a primary and a support unit, and each must have a commanding officer. Units may have more or less Zoids depending on the size of each one.

In combat you start with whatever Zoids are in your 'army' at the time. Each unit will have a commanding officer. If your commanding officer falls in combat you'll lose the battle automatically. In retrospect you can gain an automatic win if you defeat the commanding officer of an enemy unit, but this often isn't as easy as it sounds. Enemy commanders are high powered Zoids surrounded by numerous guards. This game requires strategy to defeat a force that is often much stronger than your own.
