Zoids Gear is a hand held video game based on the Zoids franchise released for the anime Zoids: New Century.

Overview[]
A handheld game released in late 2001 by Tomy and SHO-Pro MBS JRK. Its appearance is based on the data storage devices used in the New Century anime. The Zoids Gear game was only released in Japan and the game is only in Japanese. However the game can be play without any Japanese knowledge. Above is the packaging uses for the product.
The device is 11cm high by 7.4 cm wide and takes 2 AAA batteries
The toy it self works like a Digimon or other virtual pet products that came out. The product seems to be more basic in the terms of no feeding or cleaning up for them compared to other virtual pet products. Where it focuses on more on fighting, unlocking new gear and more Zoids. You can even with the use of a link cable Vs. other friends with there Zoids Gear.
